Electrician
A good electrician quote makes the scope crystal clear — the work, the certifications (Part P, EICR), materials, labour hours and any Building Control notification fees. Customers hate surprises, so break out anything that could change on the day.

A tidy plumbing quote lists the fittings, the labour, and what happens if something behind the wall isn't what you expected. Being upfront about 'if we find X, it's £Y more' wins jobs and stops arguments later.

Landscaping quotes get big fast, so break them into clear stages — clearance, groundworks, hard landscaping, planting. That way the customer sees value at each step and it's easy to trim scope if the budget is tight.
